Some Thoughts

“Things are still going well here, about to have 10 days off in a few days. I’m very much looking forward to that. But things are well here… same ol, same ol… sightseeing, dj’ing, teaching, playing a lot of ball, working out. I did see The Roots a few weeks ago, that was a lot of fun. Also found out that I am in a magazine over here for some pics I took a while back, so that’s wassup!”

What I wrote above is from an email I wrote to a friend asking me how things are in China. After I wrote this, I read it and was even surprised myself. Seems like I’m really chilling over here. Yes, I am. But I should also add to that, I’m meeting a lot of business people over here, and the possibility of getting into some type of international business is right around the corner. But to keep this entry short….

Life for a foreigner in Shanghai is pretty good. Don’t be afraid of the 14+ hour plane flight and to get out of the US for a minute. At least consider teaching English abroad (anywhere) right after college. Or take a trip. It will open your mind and introduce you to opportunities you would have never even thought about before.

Before I came, more than one person said that exact same thing to me.

Now I believe them.
